Cookie Policy

Last updated: 25 March 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you use the site.

2. How we use cookies

Sintagi uses a minimal set of cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the service. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Cookie Purpose Duration
x-auth-token Short-lived JWT access token that authenticates your requests. 5 minutes
x-refresh-token Long-lived JWT used to silently renew your access token so you stay signed in. 7 days
__stripe_mid Set by Stripe to prevent fraud during payment processing. 1 year
__stripe_sid Set by Stripe to maintain your checkout session. 30 minutes

3. Local storage

In addition to cookies, the Sintagi app uses browser localStorage to store non-sensitive preferences such as your display theme and UI state. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to third parties.

4. Third-party cookies

When you go through the Stripe payment flow, Stripe may set additional cookies on their hosted pages for fraud prevention and analytics. These are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy.

Google Fonts is loaded via Google's CDN. Google may set performance cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies (such as x-auth-token or x-refresh-token) will prevent you from staying logged in. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View all cookies stored on your device.
  • Delete cookies individually or in bulk.
  • Block cookies from specific sites.

Browser-specific instructions: Chrome · Firefox · Safari · Edge.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance.
