Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Sintagi ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Sintagi.

2. The Service

Sintagi provides a recipe management platform that lets you store, organise, import and share recipes. We offer a free tier and a paid Pro plan. Features may change over time; we will give reasonable notice of material changes.

3. Account registration

• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

• Trial period — eligible new users receive a 7-day free trial. Your card will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.
• Cancellation — you may cancel at any time via your account's billing portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds — see Section 5 below.
• Price changes — we will give at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices.

5. Refund policy

If you are not satisfied with your Pro subscription, contact us within 14 days of your first charge at info@sintagi.com and we will issue a full refund. After 14 days, charges are non-refundable except where required by law. Refunds are not available for partial billing periods after cancellation.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
• Scrape, crawl or automate requests to the Service without our written consent.
• Resell or sublicense the Service without authorisation.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the recipes and content you upload. By uploading content you grant us a limited licence to store and display it to you and, where you choose to share it (a Pro plan feature), to other authenticated Pro users of the Service. We will not use your recipes for advertising or sell them to third parties.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content (e.g. recipes imported from third-party websites).

8. Intellectual property

All trademarks, logos, software and content created by Sintagi are our exclusive property. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses. Nutritional information and AI-generated content are provided for guidance only and should not be relied upon as professional dietary advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sintagi's total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. To request deletion of your account, contact us at info@sintagi.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
